Waterline Brewing hosts second annual Ukrainian Festival

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–The second annual Ukrainian Festival was held Saturday.

The festival was held at Waterline Brewing, as non-profits from across the state come together to raise money and celebrate Ukrainian culture.

The festival featured live music, vendors with food, clothing, jewelry and more.

Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo also stopped by to speak at the program opening.

Festival Organizer, Anastasiia Chapeman, says the festival serves as a way for non-profits to collaborate for the same cause.

“We just started to look at the spaces where we can gather them all together and give them the opportunity to tell people about what they’re doing as well as share the Ukranian culture,” said Chapeman.

Chapeman adds that she’s ecstatic to see the festival grow from last year.
