Wave Transit bus accident snarls traffic

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – A handful of people had some minor injuries after a van crashed into a Wave Transit bus.

It happened on Carolina Beach Road near North Carolina Avenue a little after 4 p.m.

WWAY Sports Director, John Rendleman was on the scene and spoke with the driver of the van.  Rendleman says the driver was not hurt.

The wreck tied up traffic for a while.
