Wawa breaks ground on it’s first Wilmington location

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wawa, a convenience store chain from Pennsylvania, officially kicked off construction on a new location in the Wilmington area.

Ground-breaking occurred for the location at the intersection of South 17th Street and Wellington Ave in Wilmington.

It will be the first Wawa location in Wilmington.

Attendees at the groundbreaking were able to enjoy a taste of Wawa, including samples of signature products like Wawa hoagies, freshly brewed coffee, and other beverages from the Wawa community care vehicle.
