Week 4 high school football preview
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s a lighter week than normal, but don’t tell that to the Hoggard Vikings. They have their hands full. Hoggard will host Carolina Forest on Friday night. Carolina Forest is one of the best high school teams in South Carolina.
Laney High looks to rebound on Friday. The Buccaneers will host Northern Nash. The Bucs had a short week of preparation due to the fact they had to play on Monday, just a few nights ago. “Usually you havethe whole weekend to soak about it,” Laney head coach Ashaad Yeoman told WWAY after Monday’s loss. “That’s on us as coaches to make sure they bring that energy and juice and make sure they’re ready this Friday night.”
Pender looks to ride a wave of momentum. The Patriots snapped a 9 game losing streak last week with a win over South Brunswick. Can Justin Hooper and the Patriots make it 2 straight? “We still have a lot to work on,” Pender running back Justin Hooper said. “I know we are a lot better than what we are. We will show it in the weeks to come.” Pender will travel to North Duplin on Friday.
Highlights of these games and much more Friday night on WWAY’s 5th Quarter!
