Welcome Home Angel helps young Leland man be more independent with home improvements
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — A young man and his family received an early Christmas present on Wednesday, courtesy of Welcome Home Angel.
The non-profit helped Manni Dominguez.
He is a 21-year-old man with autism and will now have a bit more independence at home.
As part of the project, Manni and his brother’s bedrooms were improved with new flooring, larger closets, and new decorations.
The garage was also turned into a hangout and game room, with a fridge, snack area, couch, and desk.
Manni spoke about what the improvements mean to him.
“They did a fantastic job and also I’m really proud and they should be proud themselves too,” Dominguez said. “Like I said, it’s just once you work hard, things will turn out to be great. And I love it and it did turn out great.”
This was the 12th and final family Welcome Home Angel helped in 2025 and the 85th in the organization’s history
