BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office is increasing security at West Bladen High School after they say several students were involved in an off-campus fight and shooting.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for shots fired March 22nd in the 4000 block of Center Road in Bladenboro.

Deputies say they found several adults and teenagers fighting, with one adult being shot and taken by personal vehicle to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Several of the teens involved were identified as students from West Bladen High School, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office will be stopping by the high school this week to provide extra security.

This is still an open investigation.
