West Brunswick Debs win Dixie Youth World Series
MONROE, LA (WWAY) — West Brunswick’s toughest game all week in the Debs Dixie Youth World Series? Perhaps their opener on Saturday against Virginia. West Brunswick edged Virginia 10-9 to remain in the winner’s bracket on the opening day of the 2015 Debs Dixie Youth World Series.
On Sunday West Brunswick blanked Louisiana 2-0. Monday turned out to be a day off for the girls from West Brunswick, but they had to play twice on Tuesday.
They outscored East Ouachita South (LA) 11-6. In the nightcap they eliminated South Carolina 3-1 to remain unbeaten.
On Wednesday unbeaten West Brunswick, the state champs from North Carolina faced off against once-beaten East Ouachita South. The squad from Louisiana got off to an early lead, but West Brunswick came from behind to win 12-7. In turn, West Brunswick is the champion of 2015 Debs Dixie Youth.
