West Brunswick High turns into a shelter
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The freezing rain started Tuesday afternoon in Brunswick County.
Officials are encouraging everyone to say indoors but if you need to get out and find a warm place to stay, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office along with Social Services, and the Red Cross set up shop at West Brunswick High School.
Organizers say there is plenty of room at the shelter for everyone, including pets.
If you want to seek refuge, you’ll need to bring sleeping gear and identification.
