West Brunswick names Kelly Williamson head football coach

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — Kelly Williamson has been named the head football coach at West Brunswick High School in Shallotte.

Williamson used to be the head football coach at Latta High in South Carolina. He briefly coached the girls basketball team at West Brunswick this season.

Williamson will be the fourth head coach at West Brunswick over a four-year period. He replaces Bob Hanna, who replaced Scott Frazier, who replaced current Athletic Director Jimmy Fletcher.

Williamson took over the girls basketball program in January on an interim basis after Mark Jones resigned.
