West Columbus baseball shuts out Laney with 10 K’s from ECU signee Trey Benton

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — West Columbus senior Trey Benton didn’t keep the Laney runners totally at check, but he did manage to strike out ten batters. The East Carolina bound pitcher left the game in the 5th inning. The West Columbus bullpen was more than effective. It turned out to be a 4- 0 season opening victory for West Columbus over Laney.
