WFD responds to Saturday morning warehouse fire, no injuries reported

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Fire Department responded to a call about a structure fire around 4:06 a.m. Saturday.

WFD Chief Greg Fix says the fire happened at a 200,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility at 802 N. 23rd St.

Fix says the fire was contained to high-piled pallets and loading docks. He says the sprinklers were activated, which helped keep the fire from spreading.

Fix says crews were able to put the fire out around 4:35 a.m.

Officials say no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
