WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Former New Hanover Wildcat football standout Trevon Brown made a quick stop in Wilmington earlier this week in order to check out some of his former teammates at the New Hanover-Laney football game. Below is the transcript of our conversation with the East Carolina wide receiver who has a touchdown in all three of the games he’s played this season.

WWAY’s John Rendleman “What’s your feeling heading into this weekend’s game against Tulsa?”

Trevon Brown “We go into conference play this week and we’re just going to have fun. We’ll try to win every game we can.”

“What’s been your secret to success recently for the Pirates?”

“It’s just playing for my team and being out there and being great. Do what I do best and do what I did out here. That’s why I am watching these future college players out here on this field.”

“You’ve been making things look easy this year at ECU. Can you keep it up?”

“Oh yeah, I mean with my support and the team I’ll keep making plays if they come to me.”
