Whiteville boys soccer team gets a shutout win over South Brunswick
BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Whiteville keeper Brooks Baldwin is primarily known in Whiteville as one of the best pitchers in Columbus County. He’s starting to ruin his reputation though. He’s starting to also become one of the best athletes as well. Baldwin pitched a shutout on the soccer field on Wednesday as the Wolfpack was able to prevail over South Brunswick 1-0. Leo Balthazar provided Whiteville’s lone goal in the first half on a penalty kick after a South Brunswick player hit the ball with his hand in the box.
