Whiteville man arrested for allegedly disclosing private images without victim’s consent

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville man has been arrested for allegedly disclosing private images.

Bobby Ray Holtzclaw, 19, was arrested April 19th on two felony counts of disclose private images/adult.

According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, Holtzclaw knowingly disclosed an image of the victim with the intent to harass, intimidate, demean, and humiliate the victim in October of 2023.

The victim was identifiable from the disclosed image itself and information offered in connection with the image, the Sheriff’s Office says. The victim was engaged in sexual conduct in the disclosed image.

Officials say Holtzclaw disclosed the image without the affirmative consent of the victim.

According to the jail log, Holtzclaw has been released on bond and is awaiting trial.
