Whiteville man charged with trafficking cocaine, heroin

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville man has been charged with trafficking cocaine and heroin.
On Wednesday, February 12, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 93 Fox Street in Whiteville resulting in a significant narcotics and firearms seizure.
Danny Mitchell Williams, 55, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Trafficking in Cocaine, four counts of Trafficking in Opium/Heroin, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver (PWIMSD) Marijuana, PWIMSD Schedule III Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
The operation was led by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Division, with support from Special Operations, Criminal Investigations, and Command Staff.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Task Force Officer with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has adopted the case for further investigation.
