Whiteville Mayor Terry Mann projected to keep his seat

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The unofficial votes are in for the City of Whiteville Mayor.

Terry Mann faced three challengers in this election and unofficially kept his chair as city mayor.

Mann unofficially has 367 votes, and the closest competitor is Mike Schachnuk with 96 votes.

Brittany Payne has 47 votes, and Brandon Acker has 32 votes unofficially.

This year, Mann faced his first challengers in 16 years in a city that has faced a lot of flooding issues.
