Whiteville Police arrest shooting suspect

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) – Whiteville Police have charged Danny Allen Etheridge with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury

Whiteville Police responded to 405 North Franklin Street around 8:00 a.m. regarding a person shot. Officers discovered Willie Martin shot in his upper body. EMS took Martin to Columbus Regional Healthcare.

Police say he is in stable condition.

Whiteville Police later arrested Etheridge.

His bond is set at $50,000
