Whiteville Police Department released the names of the people involved in fatal crash

WHTIEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The Whiteville Police Department released the names of those involved in a two-car crash from Saturday.

There were three victims in the two vehicles. Passenger of the Silver Dodge Ram, Evelyn Rorie, 82, of Whiteville died after arriving at Columbus Regional Hospital. The driver, her husband, Bobbie Rorie, 71, of Whiteville was taken by helicopter to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He is in critical condition.

20-year-old Chase Jacobs, driver of Black Sierra GMC, was treated and released from Columbus Regional Hospital.

The crash happened on J.K. Powell Boulevard and West Burkhead Street in the City of Whiteville/

The crash is still being investigated by the police department.
