Whiteville Post 137 secures spot in state tournament

HOPE MILLS, NC (WWAY) — Whiteville Post 137 defeated Hope Mills 17-1 on Friday night to earn a spot in the American Legion Baseball State Tournament at Wingate next week. Whiteville and Hope Mills entered Friday’s game tied at two in the best of five series. Whiteville got off to a good start and they never looked back.

Whiteville Post 137 will host Wilmington Post 10 on Sunday to determine the seeding for the state tournament.
