Will the UNCW Seahawks earn a postseason bid?
BALTIMORE, MD (WWAY) – Northeastern won the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship on Monday in Baltimore against William & Mary 72-61. The Huskies will head to the NCAA’s next. William & Mary will head to the NIT. Where will UNCW land? Did the season end in Baltimore?

Is 18-13 good enough to land UNCW an invitation to the NIT? Probably not,
but it should be good enough to land them in either the College Basketball Invitational or the College insider.compost season tournament. “That is what we’re hoping for,” senior guard Addison Spruill said. “Whatever they give us we hope to be ready for that challenge.”
UNCW head coach Kevin Keatts was a bit reflective after Sunday’s CAA loss.
“I told the young kids this is your last opportunity,” Keatts said. “I told them to take advantage of it and to understand that we’ll be here again and what lost us the game(against Northeastern) we don’t want to have happen again, rebounding hurt us. Yes, I think these guys have the opportunity to play in a post season tournament, I think we have earned it.”
There is at least one more game left for UNC Wilmington. The Seahawks will have to play the waiting game to see if they get the nod on a postseason bid. Brackets for the CBI and the CIT will be released late Sunday night.
