Wilmington Butcher’s Market stocks up on turkeys and specialty meats for holidays

NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — North Carolina is the nation’s leading producer of turkeys by the pound. 

The Butcher’s Market on Oleander Drive in Wilmington is gearing up for another busy year of turkey and specialty meat sales.  

 The market is known for its unique selection of meat products outside of turkey and ham.  

 Customers can also order veal, pheasant, lamb shanks, and oxtail. 

 Mike Murrill is the director for The Butcher’s Market in Wilmington.  

 He says they are also selling a large amount of prime rib roast and tenderloins. 

“This is our first year having two locations here in Wilmington, so we anticipated a lot of business, so we have plenty of meat for everybody,” said Murrill. 

In addition to the location on Oleander Drive in Wilmington, The Butcher’s Market has another store in the one hundred block of Porters Neck Road.
