Wilmington church continues holiday spirit by giving out groceries to more than 100 families
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — While Christmas has passed, one area church is still showing the holiday spirit by helping feed those in need.
The Iglesia Vision 3D Pentecostal Church in Wilmington received a donation of groceries from the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina Friday afternoon.
The church then had families come and collect items they needed to feed themselves this week.
The church does this several times a month, but pastor Jose Cruz said it’s very special to be able to do this so close to Christmas.
“It’s makes it so special cause probably people right now, they aren’t working right now and when its cold, people you know, drop off their job and this help a lot,” Cruz said.
Cruz added that between 130 and 150 families were fed as part of the event.
