Wilmington couple pleads guilty to federal charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington couple has pleaded guilty to federal drug and firearms charges.

The US Department of Justice says Maurice and Jessica Lott received a suspicious package that was mailed from Washington state to Wilmington last March. After the couple picked up the package containing marijuana, ecstasy and oxycodone from the post office, investigators go a search warrant for their home. That search turned up additional drugs and a handgun.

Sentencing is scheduled for April.
