Wilmington CVS technician arrested on drug charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington pharmacy technician is scheduled to appear in a New Hanover County courtroom Wednesday on drug charges after SBI agents arrested her Monday, according to a news release.

The release says Tamika Nicole Gordon, 30, who was a pharmacy technician at the CVS Pharmacy on S. 17th Street, was arrested on two felony counts of embezzlement of a controlled substance.

Gordon is charged with diverting multiple tablets of Alprazolam and Tramadol, according to the release, along with two misdemeanor counts of drug possession. The charges come after a joint investigation with the Wilmington Police Department.

Gordon was booked in the New Hanover County Jail under $8,000 secured bond.
