Wilmington man accused of using Pokemon Go to meet, sexually assault child


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is accused of meeting a child through Pokemon Go and then sexually assaulting him.

Jason Northway, 50, is charged with statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15 and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Warrants show the alleged crimes happened in October of 2016.

Northway is in jail under a $100,000 bond.

Lt. Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says it’s possible there are more victims out there.
