Wilmington man charged with firing gun during family dispute

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department has arrested and charged a man after he allegedly fired a gun outside his home Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the 5700 block of Brittain Drive around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday for a 911 call about someone firing a gun. They found 24-year-old Robert Dick and determined he had fired several shots outside the home.
Police say this occurred during a family dispute. No one was injured in the incident.
Dick was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and numerous drug offenses.
He is being held in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $100,000 secured bond.
