Wilmington man faces charges following e-bike collision

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is in custody and has been charged following an investigation into a recent e-bike collision.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, Brian Keith Mcie, 33, has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Reckless Driving, Exceeding Posted Speed Limit, Improper Passing, and Failure to Reduce Speed.

The arrest happened after Michael Daniels, 42 was hit by a vehicle while he was riding an e-bike in the three hundred block of south Kerr avenue around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night.
