Wilmington man facing charges after recent shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Police say a Wilmington man faces charges following a recent shooting.
Police responded to the 200 block of Myrtle Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday. Investigators say the situation began as an altercation between two men and escalated into gunfire.
No one was hit in the shooting. Police say the suspect and victim left the scene. Luke Lewis, 24, of Wilmington, was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, going armed to the terror of the people, discharge firearm in a reckless manner, and possession of firearm by felon.
He is being held at the New Hanover County Jail under a $200,000 bond. Lewis is also on probation.
