Wilmington man facing drug, vehicle theft charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man was arrested Thursday morning near the corner of Ringo Drive and Lennon Drive.
WPD units responded in reference to a man approaching cars and asking for money.
Officers say they found Jackie Foy, 32, in possession of two small packages containing 50 bindles each of heroin. They also say the vehicle he was in had been reported stolen.
Foy has been charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, PWIMSD Schedule I Controlled Substance, Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle and Possession of Stolen Vehicle.
Foy is currently being held without bond at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
