Wilmington man sentenced to a minimum of eight years in state prison


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man pleaded guilty to selling and delivering heroin and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin.

Super Court Judge Ola Lewis sentenced 27-year-old Milton Calonie Morris to 97 to 128 months in the North Carolina Department of Corrections. That’s according to a press release from District Attorney Jon David.

Morris was arrested in July 2015 as a result of an undercover investigation. He was on parole at the time of the offense.

Morris has multiple previous convictions for selling heroin, identify theft, possession of cocaine, felony elude arrest and assault on a government official.
