Two men arrested, two juveniles in custody following Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police officers arrested two men and took two juveniles into custody following a shooting Tuesday night near 17th and Wellington.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers were patrolling the area just after 10:50 p.m. when they heard gunshots nearby. Officers responded and found evidence of a shooting. Authorities located seven firearms in the 2400 block of Troy Drive.

The Cape Fear Regional Special Teams SWAT and WPD Gun Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a nearby residence, where additional firearms were found.

As part of the investigation, officers arrested Jaquan Robinson, 20, and Cornelius Allen, 19. Two juveniles were also taken into custody.

Robinson and Allen face multiple charges, including discharging a firearm in city limits and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling. Additional charges may follow.
