Wilmington Police arrests man on drug charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department arrested a man on drug charges on Tuesday.
According to WPD, a 3 months investigation led to a search warrant in the 1100 block of Greenwood Avenue.
During the search, investigators seized more than 960 grams of cocaine, nearly 1,000 grams of MDMA, 520 grams of marijuana, several ounces of THC wax, four handguns, a ballistic vest, and more than $78,000 in cash.
Andrew Beard, 25, was charged with:
- Felony Trafficking in MDA/MDMA
- Trafficking in Cocaine
- PWIMSD Cocaine
- PWIMSD MDA/MDMA
- PWIMSD Marijuana
- Felony Possession of Marijuana
- Manufacture Cocaine
- Manufacture Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Controlled Substance
Beard was transported to the NHSO Detention Center and given no bond, as he was already out on bond for a prior offense at the time of his arrest.
