Wilmington Police charge 2 for separate murders
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police charged two people with two separate murders this week.
A WPD spokeswoman said Zibree Brawley-Washington, 18, is awaiting extradition from a Philadelphia jail after being charged with first-degree murder in the death of Johnny Lee Johnson, 45. Police said Johnson was shot and killed on September 20 at his home at 105 N. 13th Street. US Marshals located Washington on October 4.
Police said Damian Gore is also awaiting extradition. Gore was located by US Marshals in Fulton County, Georgia on Tuesday. He is being charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Rashaun McKoy, 30. McKoy was shot and killed on December 30, 2015, off Westchester Road.
Gore is also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.
