Wilmington Police investigating armed robbery on Wrightsville Ave.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Scotchman gas station early Sunday morning.

Wilmington Police say it happened at 4:17 a.m. at the Scotchman located at the 5200 block of Wrightsville Avenue.

Spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay said a male suspect entered the store, pointed a black handgun at the clerk and demanded money, then fled on foot. No arrests have been made at this time.
