Wilmington Police investigating Carolina Beach Rd shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  Wilmington police are investigating a shooting that happened late Saturday evening.

Around 9:15 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 3700 block of Carolina Beach Road.

Once there, they found an adult male with serious injuries from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The suspected shooter ran away before officers got there and has not been found yet.
