Wilmington police looking for suspect involved in 3 robberies
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police are looking for a man who they say robbed three businesses Saturday within one hour.
A spokeswoman said the first robbery happened around 7:35 pm at the Handee Hugo on N. College Road. The second was at 7:53 pm at the Dollar General at 68 S. Kerr Avenue and less than 30 minutes later police responded to the Carolina Coin Laundry in the 900 block of S. Kerr Avenue.
Police believe the same suspect is involved in all three robberies. The subject is believed to have had a gun. A small amount of cash was taken from each business. No one was injured.
Witnesses said the suspect is a light skinned black man, about 5’9″ inches tall. Witnesses said he was wearing a plaid or grey hoodie, khakis pants and a blue bandana.
