Wilmington woman faces drug charges after traffic stop

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington woman was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop Monday night.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, units conducted a traffic stop on an SUV at Princess Place Drive and North 30th Street just after 11:45 p.m.
When the officer approached the vehicle, they saw drugs in plain view.
After the search, Amie Cagle, 39, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and fentanyl.
Cagle has been charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Brake Light Violation.
She is being held at the NHSO Detention Center without bond.
