Wilmington women arrested in connection to downtown stabbing

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — A Wilmington women has been arrested in connection to one of two downtown stabbings that occurred early Easter morning, Sunday, Apr. 5.
At approximately 2:12 a.m., WPD responded to a call about a fight in the 0 block of N. Front Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old female suffering from severe stab wounds. She was transported to Novant NHRMC with life-threatening injuries.
After detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division responded and conducted an investigation, 20-year-old Jazya Muldrow-Green was arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
The stabbing was one of two that occurred early Sunday morning within minutes of each other.
The incidents are not believed to be connected.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
