Wilmington’s Connor Barth about to begin first Denver Broncos training camp

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Connor Barth is considered to be an NFL veteran now. He’s been to a handful of NFL training camps, but he’s never been to one as a member of the Denver Broncos. The Hoggard High graduate didn’t sign with Denver until November of 2014 after sitting out most of the 2014 NFL regular season and the entire 2013 season.

Training camp is a necessary evil for all NFL players, even kickers. Training camp starts on Friday for Connoar Barth and the Broncos. “I am blessed to go into my seventh year now,” Barth recently told WWAY. “Training camp is training camp no matter where you are. It’s going to be a grind and you get to know your teammates. I am still getting to know the guys because I came into the season late last year. It’ll be nice spending training camp with most of the guys, I am just looking forward to it. It’s nice we get to stay home and have training camp at our practice facility. That’s kinda how we did it in Tampa, which is cool. I am looking forward to putting the pads on again and hopefully having a good year. For me I have good competition with Brandon McManus kicking, so it’s going to be fun in training camp competing our butts off and we’ll see what happens.”
