Wilmington’s Kim Crabbe inducted into Virginia-D.C. Soccer Hall of Fame


DUMFRIES, VA (WWAY) — Wilmington’s Kim Crabbe is now a hall of fame inductee. It’s a nice feather to add to her already impressive resume. Crabbe over the weekend was inducted into the Virginia DC Soccer Hall of Fame. “Being inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame is a great honor,” Crabbe told WWAY on Monday. “I am proud to be able to share this opportunity and award with my outreach participants in Wilmington. It is an honor to be able to impact many lives through soccer.”

The Virginia DC Soccer Hall of Fame started in 2001 with 11 inductees.  In the years since many have been added.  The VA DC Soccer Hall of fame was set up to honor its soccer heroes with ties to Virginia and Washington, D.C.  Many deserving legacies are properly preserved for their contributions to the soccer community.

Nominees are accepted in three categories:

  • Players
  • Meritorious Service
  • Veterans
