Wilmington’s second annual Coastal Comic Con
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –Wilmington’s second annual Coastal Comic Con took place this weekend at the Wilmington Convention Center, drawing comic book enthusiasts from across the region.
The event featured a variety of activities, including meet-and-greet sessions with several well-known voice actors.
One of the highlights for attendees was the opportunity to meet some of their favorite voice actors, including the voice behind Wolverine. For Michael Owens, meeting this iconic character’s voice actor was a personal highlight.
Owens shared, “Great, wonderful guy, loved to meet him. He admired the suit a lot and that was really cool. I was freaking out a bit. He’s always been a go-to character for me. I started cosplaying him last year in January, and I’ve just been upgrading the suits and making new ones. This year I plan to make the classic John Byrne Bradley tan suit.”
In addition to the celebrity appearances, the event also supported local businesses from around the Cape Fear area, such as Memory Lane Comics and Cape Fear Games.
