WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization launched round two of community engagement for its Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Plan.

This program is a federal initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Transportation to help improve safety and eliminate serious injuries and fatalities for pedestrians, bicyclists, those using mobility devices, and transit.

Community input, combined with safety data, will help identify priority locations and strategies to reduce crashes.

People are asked to review project materials, take the online survey, and share comments on the interactive map.
