Woman accused of shooting husband

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies in Columbus County are investigating a second shooting this week.

Deputies said they were called to a home in the 4600 block of Andrew Jackson Highway last night around 6:00 p.m. At the home, they found David Junior Mason, 63, shot in the hip. Deputies say his wife, Deloris Lawson Mason, 58 is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

She’s being held in jail under no bond. Her husband is stable, according to deputies.
