Woman arrested after allegedly giving baby cocaine

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Chadbourn woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly allowed a baby to ingest cocaine.
According to Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, Keyana Yolanda Moore, 30, had care, custody, and control of the baby when the baby ingested the cocaine.
The drug caused the baby to have a medical emergency, and he was transported to Columbus Regional ER.
Moore was charged with felony negligent child abuse causing a medical emergency and serious bodily injury to a child.
She’s also facing a separate failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge.
Moore has a secured bond of $50,500 in total.
