Woman recovering after hit-and-run crash with stolen car

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A woman is recovering from serious injuries after a hit-and-run accident Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the accident happened just before 1:30 p.m. at N. 29th and Chestnut Streets.

The driver of a Subaru Outback, Lisa Moore was taken to the hospital for her injuries while the driver of a Mazda Tribute left the scene.

Witnesses say three black men fled the suspect car, which they believe is a stolen.

The incident is under investigation; police ask if you have any information to contact the Wilmington Police Department.
