Woman robbed in rest home parking lot

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department are looking for a pair of robbers who stole from a woman at a rest home.

It happened last night just before 10 p.m. at the Sherwood Manor Rest Home off of Robin Hood Road. Police said a woman, 58, was approached by two men in the parking lot. They said the suspects took the woman’s cell phone, shoved her to the ground and ran away. At least one man had a gun, police said.

Police only had a general description of the suspects from the victim.
