Woman robbed while taking out trash

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was confronted and robbed in her own home this afternoon.

Deputies say the victim was taking out her trash on Christa Lane south of Monkey Junction, when a woman with a gun approached her. A man joined the woman, then allegedly robbed the victim of cash and a cell phone.
