WPD arrest two people accused of robbery, assault on person with disability

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two people have been arrested by the Wilmington Police Department and charged with multiple crimes.
Officers responded to the 00 block of North Front Street around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday for an assault.
They say two people were assaulting a man and going through the victim’s pockets.
The victim suffered signs of assault but non are life-threatening, according to police.
Detro Simpson, 52, and Terry Simpson, 54, were both arrested.
They have both been charged with common law robbery, assault on an individual with a disability, and felony conspiracy.
Both were given a $20,000 secured bond and taken to the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
