WPD: Fourth suspect arrested in connection with murder

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department says the last person who was wanted for murder in the Cedric Adkins case has been taken into custody.

31-year-old Marissa Reynolds was arrested following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Racine Drive. She is currently in the New Hanover County Detention Facility with no bond.

Reynolds is one of four people facing charges of murder in the death of 63-year-old Cedric Adkins, whose body was found last week in a wooded area near Hurst and Clay Street. The homicide investigation began Friday afternoon when officers responded to a possible medical emergency call near Hurst and Clay Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man’s body in the woods.

On Thursday, 27-year-old-old Dylan Inman was apprehended following a brief pursuit. Two other people charged in the case made their first court appearances Tuesday. Tyler Collins and Austin Ziglar face 1st degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon charges.

Reynolds and Inman appeared in court Friday morning. They are being held without bond.
