WPD investigates robbery of a delivery driver

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating an armed robbery.

On Tuesday, Dec. 19 shortly after 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Princess Place Dr. and Barclay Hills Dr. for an armed robbery.

The victim was a commercial delivery driver. He told officers that while he was stopped near the intersection two juveniles entered the delivery truck and showed a gun to the victim.

The juvenile suspects took property and fled. Some items taken were recovered a short time later nearby.

The suspects are described as being in their early teens and were wearing masks.
